As you’ve seen through my social media, I was in Amsterdam (again) but this time with Rituals. I’ve been a big fan of their products since the day they had launched in the Netherlands (around the year 2000). When I got invited to visit Amsterdam, which is where the brand was born, I was super excited! I got to learn a lot about their products and collections. Their sunscreen range “Ritual of Karma” was a collection that I wasn’t very familiar with yet.
I love to scroll through my Pinterest feed and find out what the latest viral trends are. I recently came across this creative lip art: marble lips! I can’t even imagine how difficult it is to create a marble print, let alone on your lips.
I love trying out new make-up looks and stepping out of my comfort zone. I wanted to do something a little different and heavier from what I usually do so I chose to add a green detail to this look. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning while applying the green eyeshadow but luckily the end result turned out great (in my opinion). I did the whole thing; foundation, contour, lashes, eyeliner… Just a full face of make-up.
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, we fast from sunrise to sunset. It’s a time for spiritual reflection, self improvement, increased devotion and worship. Keeping your skin healthy is as important as having a healthy diet during the holy month. One of the purposes of Ramadan is to detox your body and release all toxins from within. These tips will help you to detoxify your skin and to maintain a healthy & happy skin this month.
Last month I was invited to Amsterdam by Rituals Cosmetics which is a brand that I’ve been using since I was a teenager. When I found out last year that they were finally launching in Dubai I literally screamed of excitement. I had the privilege of learning more about the brand, experience the brand from the core and its birth place which is: Amsterdam. Along with learning more about their products, we did some cool activities too.
I’m really into clean make-up looks lately; no false lashes, glowy skin, glossy lips and minimal contour. I think it’s a versatile look that can be worn both during day and night. I tried a new foundation for this look & I can’t believe it took me this long to finally use it. I have a feeling it’s going to become my favorite from now on. It also photographs really well!
Move over marble nails, there’s a new nail trend taking over the internet: Quartz nails. Healing crystals have been used for centuries but it’s slowly becoming more popular in 2017. Rose Quartz is a healing stone that’s now a source of inspiration for a new manicure trend. It’s now being recreated in nail art and it’s currently my new favorite trend.
If there’s a treatment that I absolutely love, it’s facials. I like exploring new treatments and I recently tried out the Hydrafacial here in Dubai at the Novaclinic. Anything that improves the health of my skin, I want! There are many benefits to the hydrafacial but most importantly, it’s a great instant hydration boost & it clears out the skin within minutes.
Swatching make-up products is one of my favorite thing to do. When I got the full range of these high pencils last week at the Hung Vanngo masterclass, I couldn’t wait to swatch them! Usually I’m not that big on eye pencils but after trying these colors, I’m excited to start using more eye pencils again.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending a masterclass by New York based make-up guru Hung who’s now the global ambassador for Marc Jacobs beauty. Hung Vanngo, who’s an amazing make-up artist to many Hollywood stars such as Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Emily Ratajkowski just to name a few.
