A face powder as silky as a pillow… Meet Guerlain’s Blanc de Perle collection!
Bright & Sculpt Foundation
I like the idea of having a compact powder with 2 shades; a light shade and a darker shade. The white part is great to touch up your concealer when it’s creasing. I obviously didn’t use the white part since it’s too light for me. The darker shade is basically a compact foundation. The coverage was very sheer so If you’re looking for a medium to full coverage I wouldn’t go for this one. The powder is great for oily skin as it mattifies the shine. Also a plus of this foundation is that is has SPF 20 which is something not many compact foundations offer.
White Pearl Cleanser
I loveeeee this cleansing foam! I used it regularly on my vacation in Thailand and it made skin feel fresh and clean after using it. The thick and creamy formula transforms into a foamy texture once it comes in contact with water. The cleanser contains very tiny white pearls to exfoliate the skin. My skin feels tighter and it looks glowy after washing it with the cleaner. Also the fragrance of the cleanser is very comforting. I can’t really find the words to explain why it feels comforting, it just does 😛
Meteorites Perle in #1 blanc de perle
As much as I love Guerlain products, the Meteorites Powder Pearls didn’t really do it for me. The shade was way too light for my skin tone and I don’t think it added any difference to my skin except from the part that my skin felt soft afterwards. Perhaps it would’ve made a difference if the shade of the pearls where a bit darker.
I’m wearing the Bright & Sculpt Foundation in #01 Beige. I tried to capture the swatches on my hand but it didn’t work since the powders are super sheer! Overall I think the products are great (except for the Meteorites, unfortunately). My skin feels soft and looks flawless even though the foundation offers a light coverage. The packaging looks super luxurious and fancy but we already knew that the brand is a pro in that 😉
