If you follow me on social media you must have seen al my posts during my stay in the beautiful Oman. Muscat is such a stunning city, every time I visit Oman I’m in awe of it’s beautiful nature! I’m currently staying at the Ritz Carlton Al Bustan Palace in Muscat (capital city of Oman). This is my second time of staying at the resort and it’s been amazing every single time! Below you’ll find some more pictures that I didn’t post on social during my stay. You’ll also find some additional information about the resort if you’re ever planning to visit Muscat.
There are 2 pools in the resort, both are pretty huge. If you’re staying in the Lagoon room, you’ll you have direct access to the pool. The pool however is shared but it’s quite big and the majority of the guests are usually in the main pool so the Lagoon pool is quiet most of the time. The main pool has an infinity view overlooking the beach. This pool is huge as well and there’s a pool bar right next to it and they serve your drink while you’re in the water which is most of the time not allowed in many resorts.
The beach area is SO beautiful and huge (1 km long!!) It’s a huge bay and on each end of the bay there are beautiful mountains, it really gives me the feeling as if I’m in Thailand! There are water activities available on the beach such as; Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Snorkelling, Surfing, Sailing etc. Around sunset the bar/restaurant on the beach (Beach Pavilion) starts to open and there’s also sheesha available. During my stay here that’s pretty much what I did between 4pm until 8pm. Just relaxing with my feet in the sand, having a cold mocktail and a sheesha… Ahhhh love it!!
The resort has 3 restaurants
– Al Khiran; breakfast, lunch and evening buffet (international food). Every Saturday it’s seafood night where local freshly catches fish is being served. From lobster to kingfish, to hammour fillet. There is a terrace outside that overlooks the main pool + beach.
– China mood; Fine dining restaurant located near the lobby and they serve Chinese food (obviously).
We stayed at the Lagoon room, it’s a one bedroom with 1 bathroom + bath, small living room. There’s free wifi access, flat screen TV, and most importantly there’s a make-up table with a huge mirror and great lightning! The room also has a big terrace with tanning beds and it gives you direct access to the Lagoon pool which is pretty cool! There’s of course room service available, the buffet restaurant (Al Khiran) is only 5 minutes walking distance as well as the main pool.
Each and everyone of the staff is extremely friendly! They really make an effort to give the best service they could possibly give. The restaurant manager makes sure he greets all of the guests everyday, one by one and has a conversation with every guest to ensure that their still enjoying their stay and if there’s anything they can assist with.
The weather can go up to 35/40 degrees celsius during the day and around sunset it cools off to about 30 degrees. I think Oman is slightly more humid than Dubai but the humidity isn’t that bad at this time of the month. Last year we stayed at the Al Bustan Palace around July and the humidity was unbearable! The weather is amazing around 5pm and it’s the perfect weather to have a stroll on the beach or to have sheesha at the beach lounge, it’s so peaceful! The resort also has this huge green area which is planted with palm trees and it’s SO beautiful, you can take amazing pictures in this area!
There’s a huge gym in the resort with high quality machines, a sauna & steam room and there are 4 tennis courts.
