Pic Tutorial: The most accessible way to contour suitable for Summer!

With the heat and humidity (especially here in the Middle East) it’s best to wear less make-up in Summer. Wearing a lot of make-up or a thick layer in combination with strong UV rays can seriously harm your skin. However, most women (including me) can’t leave the house without wearing make-up. Personally, I always contour my face but since it’s so hot and the texture of the foundation sticks to contour are way too thick, I’ve found the perfect foundation stick that can be used for Summer!

The end result, let’s get started!

In this ”Pic Tutorial” I’ll be using the foundation sticks by Bobbi Brown!

STEP 1:

Before contouring and highlighting, apply your concealer and BB or CC cream. I’m
using the Bobbi Brown CC cream in #Warm Nude. You can wear a foundation instead
however, personally I think it’s too much to wear in Summer. Therefore I’m using the
CC cream because it’s light, corrects my skin color and it has SPF 35 in it. Besides, when
you start contouring and highlighting, it will offer some coverage too!

STEP 2:

Contour the area’s you’d like to appear smaller. I’m using the Bobbi Brown ”Foundation
Stick”
in #7.5 Warm Walnut. The reason why these foundation sticks make it accessible
to contour, is because they’re quite small so you don’t really need a brush to apply it.
Except for my nose I didn’t use a brush to apply the foundation stick.

STEP 3:

Highlight the area’s you would like to stand out more. I’m using the Bobbi Brown
”Foundation Stick” in #3.25 Cool Beige. Also for this part I didn’t use a brush.

STEP 4:

Start blending everything. I’m using a wet Beauty Blender but you can use a stippling
brush instead. However, I do recommend to use the Beauty Blender since it’s easier to
work with plus it blends beautifully!

Blend until everything is blended well, no matter how long it takes! It may not really
show in the pictures but I love how these foundation sticks look so natural and not
cakey at all! It gives the skin a beautiful glowing effect (not in an oily way).

STEP 5:

Once everything is blended, apply your cream blusher. The reason why I’m using a
cream blush is because it looks natural and it lasts longer in the humidity. If you prefer
to use a powder blush, make sure to do that after Step 6. I’m using the Bobbi Brown
”Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks” in #6 Powder Pink

STEP 6:

Set everything in by using a loose powder. You can use a powder foundation too! To
prevent my concealer from creasing I applied Dolce & Gabbana ”The Powder” (powder
foundation) in #4 Caramel under my eyes. The loose powder I used is ”HD Powder” by
MAKE UP FOR EVER.

STEP 7:

Apply your bronzer. I’m using the ”Cabana Bronze” in #520 by Kardashian Beauty.

STEP 8:

Finally, apply a shimmery highlighter on the cheekbones to get that glowy effect! I’m
using Bobbi Brown ”Shimmer Brick Compact” in #Apricot.
