MAC and Estee Lauder’s CC cream, which one is better?

IMG_4992

There have been countless brands launching a CC cream. Although a CC cream is meant
to correct the skin colour, each brand is different from another. A CC cream can be worn
alone or underneath a foundation. Both MAC Cosmetics and Estee Lauder have recently
launched a CC cream. Two brands that produce amazing foundations! I had to give it a
try and see which one is the best, find out below!

Estee Lauder | Revitalizing Supreme CC Cream

Facts:
– All skin types
– Contains anti-aging cream
– Contains SPF 10
– Comes in one shade only

The colour of the cream is a bit white/greyish so I was a bit surprised when I tried it on
my hand the first time. The cream also contains very weird grey balls, it almost looks
like a scrub, although it doesn’t feel like a scrub. Once the cream blends into the skin,
the grey colour adapts into a beige shade. The cream offers a beautiful dewy finish and
leaves the skin looking radiant! I would definitely say that it corrects the skin colour
quite a lot. All CC cream can be worn underneath a liquid of powder foundation. Since
the coverage is quit good, I like to wear it alone.

Price: $70,-   |   250,- AED

MAC Cosmetics | Prep + Prime CC Cream in #RECHARGE

Facts:
– All skin types
– Contains SPF 30
– Works as a primer too!
– Comes in 4 shades; Illuminate (lavender), Neutralize (yellow), Adjust (peachy beige),
Recharge (apricot)

The texture of this cream feels similar to a luxurious cream. What I like about this CC
cream
is that it keeps the skin hydrated through out the day without looking
greasy/oily. Also, the creams work amazing as a primer! You can wear a liquid or
powder foundation on top and it will maximise the quality of it! Usually MAC primers
have small shimmers in it, this one doesn’t and it offers a matte finish.

Price: $30,-   |   110,- AED

Both CC creams offer a great colour correction. Personally I prefer the Estee Lauder ”CC
cream”
because it’s more suitable to wear alone without a foundation on top. And also
because it gives a beautiful glowy, radiant skin!

  1. Great review, thanks for sharing! I was thinking about buying the Estee Lauder CC Cream, but wasn’t sure about the coverage so I’m thrilled to hear that you wear it by itself! May I ask you what skin type you have to begin with? I’m combination (normal with oily T-Zone) and was wondering if the glow factor would work for me.

I’ve got an oily skin. A CC cream basically corrects the skin tone so if the coverage is too sheer for you, you can wear a foundation on top.
