Review: Miss Dior fragrance

Dior has recently added another fragrance to their Miss Dior range. The Dior Perfumer created a fresh yet romantic scent that promotes love. The fragrance was created in the birthplace of perfumes: Grasse and the beautiful actress Natalie Portman is the face of it.

“I refined the florality of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum to render it sensual and suggestive. It had to burst like that feeling of falling head over heels. A declaration of love, to love!”

– François Demachy

Top notes:

Lemon, Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper, Blood Orange,  Sweet Orange, Calabrian Bergamot

Middle notes:

Grasse Rose, Damask Rose, Jasmine Leaf

Base notes:

Palisander Rosewood, Patchouli

I have never “not liked” a Dior perfume before they produce some pretty amazing perfumes including this new “Miss Dior” fragrance. I would describe the scent as sweet yet elegant, I don’t find the sweetness very dominant (which is what I prefer). It’s also quite rosy and very soft, I love how airy the Patchouli smells in this fragrance.

The longevity of perfumes are very personal. In my case, this fragrance doesn’t last too long and it fades away very quickly. I find that very surprising especially since it has a few strong notes in it such as the Patchouli and Rosewood. Usually all Dior fragrances last all day on me, whether their strong or light. As much as I like this fragrance, it’s not necessarily a fragrance that will make me swoon (unlike many other Dior fragrances). It’s a beautiful fragrance that’s wearable at any time of the day and I do think it has a quite romantic scent just like they’re marketing it.

* The fragrance is available in 30,  50 and 100ml
