During my recent trip to Sri Lanka, I visited many places and I’ve seen a lot for such a short period of time. One of the places that I visited was a herbal garden. I’ve learned so much about herbs & plants and how to cure certain things by simply using natural ingredients.
You guys know how much I love to swatch and blog about lipsticks. I recently got some beautiful new lipsticks and I wanted to share them with you.
Even though fashion & beauty go hand in hand, I’m not a big ”fan” of attending fashion shows. I’d rather see what’s going on backstage and how the beauty looks are being brought to life. I do have to acknowledge the fact that we’ve got some amazing local fashion talent in the UAE. In this post you’ll find all the beauty looks from this season’s Fashion Forward DXB!
I’ve visited the the Ritz Carlton hotel in Abu Dhabi many, many times! However, for some reason I never got the chance to visit the ESPA. I tried the Advanced Radiance Facial (of 90 min) which is a recent new treatment introduced in the spa. Obviously, the products that were used during the facial are personalised and selected according to your skin type. Before my facial, I got the chance to meet Susan Harmworth who is the founder and CEO of ESPA. I was shocked to find out that she’s already in her 70’s because of her great energy and amazing (almost wrinkles) skin, she looks in her 50’s. This was the main reason for me to be so excited to try out their facial and skincare products. I mean, she’s the living proof that her products work amazing!
Introducing the Oud & Rose fragrance collection by L’Occitane… Oud & Rose is the latest fragrance of the collection by L’Occitane. ”La Collection de Grasse” named after the Mediterranean city of Grasse in Provence. The collection was created to unite two regions known for history and tradition of perfumery, by creating balance between Arabic and French style in fragrance creation. I was approached by the brand to be a part of this fragrance project. I feel so honoured to have worked with L’Occitane on this campaign! I absolutely love the images, it really brings out the feeling and inspiration of the fragrance – a mysterious, woody and spicy breeze from the Orient.
The first Dior Addict Lipstick was created in 2001, ever since, the brand has been continuously improving the quality of it. With Jennifer Lawrence as the face of Dior, the brand has added four new shades to their Dior Addict glitter range. And she’s rocking my favourite shade of the collection in the campaign images. This makes a total of 35 shades varying from Glow, Flash and Glitter textures. The new improved and more futuristic version of the original Dior Addict Lipstick is an easy to wear, light weighted, sheer coverage lipstick that is irresistible for every make-up addict!
I recently attended the launch event for the Jo Malone ”Mimosa & Cardamom” cologne and to my surprise I’ve learned so much compared to any other fragrance launches I’ve ever been to. Did you know that you can combine two or three fragrances together. If you feel like a fragrance isn’t sweet or fresh enough for you, you just add another fragrance to compliment each other… How genius! How have I never thought of this before?! This fragrance in particular is recommended to combine with the Jo Malone ”English Pear & Freesia” fragrance to add warmth to it.
It is no secret that I’m a big fan of bronzers! A make-up look is never complete without without a bronzer, it creates depth and definition to the face. Not to mention, it creates the illusion of being tanned which we can all use once in a while. In this post I’ve lined up some of my favourite bronzers that I’ve been using through out the Summer.
Recently I attended the annual MAC trends event where the hottest make-up trends for Autumn/Winter 2015/2016 were being showcased. The main trend for next season is all about dressing the face again. From glamorous and statement looks to tribal and animalistic looks. Make-up is being taken to the extreme and it’s about celebrating strong, powerful and influential women. Make-up is back and it’s making an appearance in a diverse and cool way inspired by street style. The edgy and cool make-up looks are being inspired from the streets of London, New York, Paris and Milan. Its not about the actual make-up anymore it’s all about how it influences the hair, clothes and accessories and how it compliments each other.
Why are the best products always a limited edition? Why can’t it just be a part of the permanent collection?! That’s what I thought when I went through this new Bronze Goddes collection by Estée Lauder. For Summer 2015, the brand has released this limited edition collection and it’s to die for! If you’re new to this collection, I would say; start off with the Bronze Goddes bronzers… You’ll thank me later 😉
