Beauty looks from Fashion Forward

Even though fashion & beauty go hand in hand, I’m not a big ”fan” of attending fashion shows. I’d rather see what’s going on backstage and how the beauty looks are being brought to life. I do have to acknowledge the fact that we’ve got some amazing local fashion talent in the UAE. In this post you’ll find all the beauty looks from this season’s Fashion Forward DXB!

Sephora haul

I’ve recently attended a multi branded Sephora event where we got introduced to the latest launches available at Sephora. They fly in the spokesperson of each brand from all over the world and they talk us through the new products and launches. After every Sephora event, they provide everyone with a massive goodie bag filled with all the latest products. I’ve lined up some of the new launches that are available at Sephora across the Middle East including brands like: Anastasia Beverly Hills, Starskin, Nails Inc. and many more!

It’s finally here! Louboutin Lipsticks

The long awaited Louboutin lipsticks have finally launched globally and recently in Dubai as well, starting from September 13th. This makes it Christian Louboutin’s 2nd beauty launch after the launch of the nail lacquers last year. Obviously the first shade comes in the iconic ”Rouge Louboutin” which is also the exact same shade as the red Louboutin soles.

Review: Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamon Cologne

I recently attended the launch event for the Jo Malone ”Mimosa & Cardamom” cologne and to my surprise I’ve learned so much compared to any other fragrance launches I’ve ever been to. Did you know that you can combine two or three fragrances together. If you feel like a fragrance isn’t sweet or fresh enough for you, you just add another fragrance to compliment each other… How genius! How have I never thought of this before?! This fragrance in particular is recommended to combine with the Jo Malone ”English Pear & Freesia” fragrance to add warmth to it.

MAKE UP FOR EVER launches 76 new brushes!

MAKE UP FOR EVER has replaced their brushes with 76 new brushes! 30 face brushes, 35 eyes brushes, 3 lip brushes and 8 artistic brushes. The brushes are all handmade, produced and manufactured in Mauritius. The hairs of all the brushes are synthetic fibres. Also non of the brushes have been cut at the tip. The quality is SUPER high end, you can feel that from touching the extremely soft hairs.

Is this make-up printer bringing down the $55 billion make-up industry?

”We’re going to live in a world where you can take a picture of your friends’ lipstick and print it out.” – Grace Choi   A Harvard business student has recently developed a 3D make-up printer that can be used at home with the capability of printing out actual make-up products. Just simply copy a color of the shade you would like to have and then print out the product.

Last night’s make-up look + Product details!

I love to be creative and create artistic/dramatic looks but when it comes to my own make-up, I always like to keep it simple just because I think it suits me the most. I never wear heavy eye make-up and it’s very rare if I’m wearing a dark lipstick. Yesterday I wanted to step a little bit out of my comfort zone and wear a heavier look than I’m used to. By the way; how amazing is this shimmery eyeliner?! Full product details are below!
