Review: SACHAJUAN hair products

I recently decided to switch up my current hair routine and try out some Sachajuan products. I’ve read so many great things about the brand and many respectable hair stylists are using it. Not to mention, the packaging is so photo friendly and “Instagramable”. I tried two of their products, the Moisturizing Shampoo and the Hair Repair Treatment. They look so sleek and chic, I love having these products in my bathroom. However, I’m so disappointed in these two products in particular…

Review: Miss Dior fragrance

Dior has recently added another fragrance to their Miss Dior range. The Dior Perfumer created a fresh yet romantic scent that promotes love. The fragrance was created in the birthplace of perfumes: Grasse and the beautiful actress Natalie Portman is the face of it. “I refined the florality of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum to render it sensual and suggestive. It had to burst like that feeling of falling head over heels. A declaration of love, to love!” – François Demachy

Swatches + Review: Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

I know I’m probably the last person to review this palette but I still wanted to share my thoughts and swatches. Ever since I have gotten this palette, I haven’t stopped using it. Lately I’m really into warm and brown orangy eyeshadow colors so this palette has been perfect for me. I think Urban Decay never disappoints when it comes to the pigmentation of their eyeshadows, including this “Heat” palette.

Review + swatches: Kat von D “Everlasting Lip Liners”

I recently got my hands on the much anticipated “Everlasting Lip Liners” by Kat von D. I’m a huge fan of KVD make-up, their products never disappoint and I never find them misleading wether it’s by the names of the products or the hype around it. The lip liners collection features 30 shades in total. They range from a wide selection of colors, almost half of the collection features nude shades for different types of complexion. Despite the fact that this collection features many nude shades, I find them very versatile. The darker “nude” shades can be great as a base for medium brown and deep dark complexions. For the lighter & fairer complexions, these can be used as brown, taupe or rosewood liners.

Swatches + Review: Smashbox “always on liquid lipsticks”

In case you missed it, Smashbox has released a matte lipstick collection in 20 beautiful shades. In my previous post “New beauty launches I’m excited to try” I featured two lipsticks from this collection. I mentioned that I would do a separate post with swatches of all shades. Below you’ll find hand & lip swatches + my review on the new “Always on liquid lipsticks”.

My stay + review in the Maldives

Last month, Ryadh and I traveled to Maldives for the first time. It was our 5th year wedding anniversary so we really wanted to go somewhere special and what perfect place to spend your wedding anniversary than in Maldives? I posted a travel video as well of my Maldives trip so if you haven’t check it out yet then click here and make sure to subscribe to my channel as well! To see any of my Instagram travel posts, make sure to check out #NajlaTravels. The resort we stayed at was the “Adaaran Prestige Vadoo”. I’ve been receiving a lot of interest on Snapchat about the resort so here’s my feedback of my stay at the resort.

My experience at Tony El Mendelek’s hair salon

I get a tons of questions with regards to my blond hair. How I maintain it, if it was very damaging to my hair, if I get breakage etc etc. I feel like I talk so much about my new blond hair color but I still get a ton of questions about it. I recently had my roots done and a little bit of color correction at Tony El Mendelek’s salon here in Dubai.

Are these face masks worth trying?

First and foremost, I’m a dedicated user of Bobbi Brown’s skincare products – I use it a lot on all my clients. Their “Hydrating cream” is amazing to prepare dry skin prior to applying make-up. It prevents the skin from becoming flaky, it extends the longevity of the make-up and I recommend it on all my clients that have a dry skin. Their “Hydrating Eye Cream” is also insanely good and I use it on myself a lot. I think her skincare line is even better than the make-up products (even though I’m a huge fan of the make-up line too.)
