As a make-up junkie, its hard to choose a favourite product. If there’s something in the make-up market that I love, its palettes! As a make-up artist and for someone that travels a lot, palettes are my holy grail in life! You have everything you need in one palette, its light weighted and its compact.
I’ve lined up some of my FAVOURITE neutral palettes at the moment because, a woman can never have too many neutral palettes!
SMASHBOX // Shape Matters Palette
This palette basically offers everything you need in life! Two eyebrow powders + wax, two contour & two highlight powders and nine of their best selling eyeshadow shades.
ZOEVA // Cocoa Blend
If you already loved their brushes, you’re going to love this palette too! ZOEVA Cosmetics is known for their sleek and high quality brushes but, they’ve recently launched their first eyeshadow palette. The colours and packaging are inspired by a box of praline chocolates, hmmmnn… The palette is super, SUPER light weighted, its like holding air. Despite the weight, the colours offer a high pigmentation.
Urban Decay // Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette
I mean, can you ever go wrong with a Naked palette by Urban Decay? I always have the Naked palettes in my make-up kit and the brand has recently released a 4th version. This palette in particular features nude, grey, brown & navy blue shades varying from matte, shimmery and frosty textures. Like always, it comes with a great blending brush.
NARS // NARSissist Matte/Shimmer Eyeshadow palette
This limited edition palette features four matte, four shimmery eyeshadows & a mini sized black matte eye pencil. The palette is compact, small and great for travelling!
Laura Mercier // The Art of Colour – Eye & Cheek Collection
I have to say, after meeting Laura Mercier in person I love the brand even more than I ever did. Just because I understand their philosophy better and by how passionate LM is when it comes to creating products. This palette offers 3 matte and 5 frosty/shimmery eyeshadows + one shimmery pink blush.
L’oreal // La Palette Nude #02 Beige
If you’re on a tight budget when it comes to make-up because, as much as we love make-up, it can be very expensive sometimes. For a budget friendly neutral palette, the L’oreal ”La Palette Nude” is a great alternative! The palette and quality of the eyeshadows really remind me of the palettes that MAKE UP FOR EVER used to make which have been discontinued since last year. The palette features ten neutral shades which is a pretty good deal, the formulas vary from frosty to matte textures.
