Cruelty free and vegan beauty products are on the rise! People are becoming more conscious on what kind of brands and products they’re using, not only vegans. You’re probably wondering, what is a vegan product exactly? They’re products that are free from honey, beeswax, lanolin, collagen, albumen, shark squaline, carmine, cholesterol, gelatin and other animal derived ingredients. New trend alert: Flower make-up

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a new, crazy make-up trend but this is a trend that has been popping up a lot on my Pinterest feed and I love it! It’s such a cool idea and very artistic. I noticed that in most of these images, the “flower make-up” is being combined mostly with dewy skin and glossy eyes. I’m seeing variation of different types of flowers and even dried flowers are being used. I would assume that the flowers are being stuck by either the gloss that’s already on the face or with some sort of lash glue. I’m definitely going to try out this trend on myself and I’m so curious to find out whether or not I’m going to nail it. Would you try this trend?

Look of the day: Grey smokey eyes

Happy Friday loves! I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend. For this week’s MOTD (make-up of the day), I wanted to share something different. As you know, I’m a big fan of neutral colors but I never really use grey tones so I decided to use that for this look. It was really easy creating this look, I only used 3 different eyeshadows; a light grey color, a darker transition color and a shimmery shadow on the lids. Below you’ll find all the product details I used to create this look.

My stay + review in Seminyak, Bali

This summer I traveled to Bali for the first time and I visited a few different places on the island. First, I went to Ubud and my second stop was in Seminyak where I spent a few days. I felt like each area in Bali is so different from another. Seminyak is kind of the party area and felt more like a city instead of an island. During my days there, I stayed at the Anantara resort which is located along the coastline. Since Seminyak is a busy place with lots of traffic and tourists, the Anantara resort is a nice little getaway from the busy streets. If you love a good party but still want to relax by the beach during the day, then I definitely recommend visiting Seminyak.

Four beautifying smoothie recipes

A few months ago, I attended the launch event of Murad skincare here in dubai. During that event, I learned a lot about the importance of taking care of your skin from within. I also received a few beautifying smoothie recipes that you can easily make at home and will help to nourish your skin. I tried some of the recipes and they’re so delicious, they’re also all vegan.

Tropical afternoon in Bali

Even though it’s already cold and almost winter in most countries, I couldn’t help but share a summer outfit post because this was one of my favorite outfits. These pants are so comfortable and versatile, I can literally wear them with anything. I took these photos during my last trip to Bali. I could dress it up with heels and a nice blouse or I could pair them with sneakers and an oversized t-shirt for a more casual look.

Tumblr Thursday: Winter Aesthetics

My inspiration for this month is a bit all over the place. There are many different colors, moods and aesthetics in this post. Lately I’ve been slightly obsessed with Korean beauty & fashion and you’ll see it a lot in this post. I always had a weakness for gold chains and layering necklaces. There’s also a variety of different make-up looks, from artistic eye make-up, korean beauty to everyday wearable looks.

Beautiful tropical showers in Ubud

I’m so happy that we’re getting closer to winter here in the UAE. I can’t wait for it to start raining again. I’m looking forward to the gloomy weather I had in Ubud. During my first week in Bali, I stayed for a couple of days in Ubud. This part of Bali is known for its rice fields and tropical showers (which I’ve experienced a lot during my stay). Despite the rain and gloomy weather, Bali was still so beautiful and I couldn’t take enough pictures!

Exploring a Muslim village in China

Last month I had the opportunity to visit China and explore some of the most beautiful places within the province of Yinchuan. One of the activities on our itinerary was to explore the Muslim area of China and in this case in the province Yinchuan. Even though the Hui Muslims in China are in the minority, they’re very present in Ningxia which is the city that we visited. We were invited by a Hui Muslim family to their home and we got to experience their way of living. The woman of the house and her sister made us traditional snacks and we had delicious Ba Bao tea. This traditional tea consists many fresh herbs, spices and even goji berries!

Surfers beach in Uluwatu, Bali

I took so many pictures in Bali but I promise this is my last post! This was taken at Uluwatu beach during my stay at the Anantara resort. The water was a bit rough and it was difficult to swim because of the huge waves. It’s mainly a popular beach for surfers because of the big waves obviously. However, I did swim and I loved this beach – I really hope to visit Bali again and Uluwatu is going to be the first place I’m visiting.
